Or, I do art, I get first pick, you get to keep the remaining ones you wish, the rest are sold and I keep profits. Female goldfish can have upwards of 500-1000 eggs. Generally, around 10-20 will be show quality and only 5-10 should be kept (ie only create litters of 5-10) to ensure the best quality offspring are kept.

Mixbreed litters are fine, so any goldfish (Carassius) variety is fine. They don't have to be veiltails or fantails.
